I am the CEO and a founding partner of EMDR Therapy Center Mementos. I work with adults and adolescents. What my customers have in common is that they have experienced difficult things and they want to move forward with their lives. Common experiences for my clients are relationship and family crises, loss of loved ones, violence, legal proceedings, difficult relationships, workplace conflict situations and other adversity and trauma experiences.
The EMDR method is a great tool for dealing with and processing these negative memories and ideas. I also coach people to help them manage in challenging situations in the future. For example, I have done mental coaching using the EMDR method in business life and sports.
I have worked as a researcher (forensic research for the police, for example) and have ran a private practice since 2010. In addition to my therapy work, I am an expert at PsyJuridica Ltd., a legal office that combines psychology and law, as well as a Docent in Forensic and Criminal Psychology at the Universities of Helsinki and Eastern Finland. I am a Doctor of Psychology and a psychotherapist (Valvira), a certified EMDR therapist, a licensed sexual counselor (Finnish Association for Sexology) and an authorized legal psychologist (Åbo Akademi). I am also registered as a rehabilitation service provider at Kela.
In addition to my work, I hold a few positions of responsibility. I am a member of the board and Science Director of the Finnish EMDR Association, a member of the forensic psychology working group of the Finnish Psychological Association and I am also a member of a few editorial boards of foreign science magazines. I also research EMDR treatments and their effectiveness in a research group, led by me, at the University of Helsinki.

training in various areas of psychology.
I have a Licentiate in psychology and am a certified EMDR therapist. In addition to official qualifications I have built up my expertise with additional training in crisis and trauma psychology. I am also familiar with cognitive stress in intellectual work and means of psychological recovery.
